Joseph J., “Joe”, Lisa, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the age of 88. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Joe was the son of Anthony and Jennie Lisa. He was predeceased by his parents and granddaughter Jaclyn. He is survived by his wife Annmarie, his sister, three children; Joanne, Lori, and Anthony, several grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Joe, a devoted man of faith, family, friends, football, and music, is remembered fondly by all who had the good fortune to meet him. His life was defined by connection—by the joy he found in being surrounded by the people he loved most. Family and friends were the center of his world, and nothing made him happier than seeing those around him smiling, laughing, and sharing good moments together.

With a natural gift for making others feel welcome and valued, he gave freely his time and his heart. He believed that life was meant to be enjoyed, was grateful for the gift of life and lived his to the fullest. If you were looking for him, chances were you could find him at happy hour enjoying good music and great conversation with his buddies.

A lifelong lover of music, Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond were his favorites. One thing was certain—there was no bigger New York Giants fan. Game days were sacred, filled with enthusiasm and spirited cheering that reflected his passion and unwavering devotion to his team. He was also a proud veteran of the US Navy.

Joe passed away following a short illness. In his final moments, he was surrounded by family and so much love. Though his absence leaves a deep void, his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

Service Details

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W Charlotte Ave, Punta Gorda, FL. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to share stories, laughter, and memories in true reflection of the way he lived his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in his memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Punta Gorda/(Sacred Heart Conference) in Punta Gorda, FL, or encourages acts of kindness and generosity in his honor—something he deeply believed in and practiced daily.
