Marica Stojanovich, 93, of North Port, Florida, formerly of Ohioville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.

Marica was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, known for her warmth, hospitality, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was born on January 1, 1933, in Rakovica, Bosanska Dubica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Djuro and Milja Jankovic, who were farmers.

In 1954, she married Dragutin Stojanovich of Serbia. The following year, they emigrated to the United States under the Refugee Relief Act, making the Atlantic crossing aboard the USNS Gen. W. C. Langfitt.

After settling in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, they retired to North Port, Florida, in 1991.

Marica is survived by her brother, Stevo Jankovic; her sons, Milan and Dragan “Danny” Stojanovich; her daughters-in-law, Kathryn Kineke and Victoria Stojanovich; her grandson, Nicholas Stojanovich; her granddaughter, Christina Stojanovich Coldwell, and her husband, Adam Coldwell; her great-granddaughter, Zorica, her nephew Milan Vitolich, niece Diane Miladin, and extended relatives in the United States and Europe.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dragutin, as well as her parents and other members of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday July 14, 2026 at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church of North Port. Interment will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery in Punta Gorda, Florida.
