Michael Wade Savage

Michael Wade Savage, age 62, of Englewood, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Thursday, September 17, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born on December 15, 1963, in Sandwich, Illinois, to the late D.G. Savage and Mildred Savage.

 Michael was united in marriage to Liza Savage on September 22, 2009. They met in the Philippines, began their life together in Sandwich, Illinois, and in June 2013, moved to Florida, where they built their family and life together. 

Michael and Liza spent more than 16 happy years together. Known as Mike by his family and friends, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mike was a loving husband, father, brother, and loyal friend to all. 

He was generous and loving and always wanted to make everyone happy. He was a big fan of Chicago and loved collecting Chicago memorabilia. 

Mike graduated from Sandwich High School. He owned W.R. Carlson Roofing in Englewood until his retirement.

 He is survived by his wife, Liza Savage; his sons, Noah Savage and Jack Savage; Shane Balisacan and Eralin Balisacan; Stacy and Randy Kuntz; and Kristy and Michael Elliot. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Audrey, Waylon, Izzy, Nathan. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, D.G. and Mildred Savage; his brother, Larry Savage; and his sister, Janice Savage.

 Mike’s sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family and friends. His kindness, generosity, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
