Cheryl Ann Gay

Cheryl Ann Harp Gay widow of Earl Thomas Gay (Tommy) went to be with her Lord Saturday evening April 25,2026 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by daughters; Ashley Gay and Lindsay Gay. 3 Granchildren; Austin Tecalco, Cheyanne Martinez and Elijah Tecalco, which were the love of her life! She is also survived by her mother; Shirley Grimes Harp. 

Cheryl was proceeded in death by her brother; Darryl Edmund Harp and her father; Haskell Lee Harp. She was the granddaughter of Arnett and Ella Harp and Edmund and Thelma Grimes.

 She was a member of New Life Church in Frankfort. Cheryl married her Highschool sweetheart Tommy Gay in 1978. They were married until his death in 2007. She was a 1976 graduate of Franklin County High School and after graduation she attended UK from 1976-1978. Cheryl retired from State Government. She enjoyed many things in life which a few of them were: swimming, having family gatherings, music and trying new recipes. She had a special love for her dogs Bella, Liberty and Buddy!

She was a joy to be around, had a heart of gold and a warming smile. She will be missed dearly and her love will live forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2026 at Clark’s Funeral home from 5-7pm with a celebration of life service following visitation. Rev. Gene Roberts and Rev. Jimmy Patillo will be officiating.
