James Allen Garrison

James Allen Garrison, known to nearly everyone as Jim, was born on September 2, 1957, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Ronald and Ruby Garrison. He passed away at home on August 28, 2026, in Bagdad, Kentucky.

Jim was a retired State Government employee, serving the Commonwealth for many years. He never met a stranger, filling every room with his kindness and a big welcoming smile. Jim was also a man of steady faith. He was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. 

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Deborah, his two daughters Crystal Darnell (Seth) of Frankfort and Samantha Bibb (Kyle) of Lawrenceburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Colton Lee Darnell, Sawyer James Darnell, Lilah Madelyn Darnell, Jeffrey Kyle Bibb, Charlie Grace Bibb and Savannah Jean Bibb and a sister, Rhonda (Duke) Fisher. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Piper Grace Bibb. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 12:00PM until 3:00PM.
