 James Harris Warfield, Jr., a dedicated farmer and beloved family man, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Georgetown, Kentucky, at the age of 79. Born on November 5, 1946, in Versailles, Kentucky, James was known for his steadfast commitment to both his work and his loved ones.

 James is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Warfield, and their children, Melissa (Darrel) Carter, of Georgetown, Arthur (Patty) Warfield of Georgetown and James (Christina) Warfield III of Frankfort. His cherished family also includes his sister, Libby Patterson of Lexington, brothers Robert Warfield of Frankfort, and David (Sheree) Warfield of Midway, alongside his brother-in-law, Philip Richardson of Lexington. The joy of his life was amplified by his many grandchildren: Kevin, Kimberly, Kelsey, Derek, Rocky, Tritan, Monet, and Talon, along with several great-grandchildren who held a special place in his heart.

 James devoted his life to farming, where he demonstrated a deep connection to the land, fostering a legacy of hard work and determination. His humility and dedication were evident in all aspects of his life, making a lasting impact on his family and community.

Visitation will be held at the Clark Legacy Center on Versailles Road on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will commence following visitation at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Ben Howard. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strong work ethic, and the kindness he shared with all who knew him. His spirit will live on through the stories, memories, and lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
