Ollie Katherine Ammerman

Ollie Katherine (Kathy) Tandy Ammerman passed away on September 12, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1941 to the late Walter Dade Tandy and Minnie Mae Mason Tandy. The youngest of 12, she was affectionately called "Runt" by her siblings. 

Kathy dedicated many years to caring for others as a nurse at Dr. Long and Shroat's Office. She later continued serving her community through her work with Second Street School, Frankfort High School, and the Frankfort Independent Board of Education until she retired. 

Kathy was preceded in death, by the love of her life, Joseph L. Ammerman and her granddaughter, Tandy Simpson Hubbard. 

She is survived by her daughters, Gaye Ammerman Simpson (David) and Dede Ammerman Johnson (Glenn), as well as, grandchildren, Nicole Dempsey, Leslie Wonderlich (Grant), Amanda Smith (Daryl), Jessica Stevens; and her great grandchildren, Zac Cox, Taylor Katherine Hubbard, Mills Hubbard, Jace Wonderlich, Lane Wonderlich, Seth Tucker, Paisley Stevens, Whyatt Stevens, and Whalen Stevens. 

As per her request, there will be a graveside service held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Frankfort Cemetery.
