Pamela Lynn Ishmael

Pamela Lynn Ishmael, born October 14, 1947, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on February 26, 2026.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Carmel Mercedes Jarvis-Dobson and Russell Leroy Dobson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 10 years, Elmer Samuel Ishmael and her sister, Patricia Tichenor.

Pam leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her six children: Rita Clem of Lancaster, Louis (Dana) Simpson of Lawrenceburg, Russell (Tonja) Simpson of Frankfort, Davin Simpson of Salvisa, Kelly (Kristy) Simpson of Lawrenceburg, and Michael (Tonya) Simpson of Perryville. She was a proud grandmother to eighteen grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Gene and Ricky Dobson of Indiana.

Pam had a spirit that filled a room. She loved to laugh, tell stories, and make memories with the people she adored. She was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley, and she never missed a chance to enjoy his music or movies. She had a passion for shoes, beautiful clothes, and a good day of shopping. The beach was her happy place, where the sun met the water and her heart felt most at peace.

She loved to dance, treasured her girls days, and embraced all things feminine and joyful. Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in the traditions and togetherness it brought.

Above all, Pam was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith was steady and true, and it carried her through every season of life.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Her family would also like to recognize her daughter-in-law, Dana, whose steadfast friendship and compassionate caregiving brought comfort and dignity to her life.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
