Wanda Rice Adkins

Wanda Rice Adkins, 90, widow of Harvey Richard Adkins, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. A native of Frankfort, she was born on July 5, 1935 to the late Pat and Katherine Johnson Rice. Wanda worked for LRC and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to read, shop for antiques, and going to yard sales. Wanda loved her family and friends.  

Those left to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Bethanie Adkins; her son, Richard Adkins (Emily), her grandchildren, Ryan Adkins (Elizabeth), Samantha Callebs (Jonathan), Leah Redden (Rick), Jenna Braden (Jarrod), Katie Adkins, Aidan Adkins, Christian Adkins, and Olivia Adkins; her 17 great grandchildren; her extended family; special family friends, Larry Montgomery (Joan) and Nancy Jett; and Lizzie, Wanda’s special faithful dog.  

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Adkins; and her great grandson, Merrick Redden.  

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church.
