Ann Marie Hoenscheid

Ann Marie Hoenscheid, 61, died April 1, 2018. She is survived by her sister Lisa (Michael) Kelly; brothers Rob (Sandra Burton) Hoenscheid and James (Elizabeth) Hoenscheid; nieces Jordan Hoenscheid and Caroline Hoenscheid and nephew John Hoenscheid. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Ann (Mueller) Hoenscheid. Ann was champion for cancer prevention causes; whether for Susan G. Koman Kentucky, or The American Cancer Society, she was an active participant. She was also very committed to her faith and worship at The Newman Center in Lexington, KY., where she participated in the choir, or as a team leader with her Cursillo Group. She enjoyed traveling especially to the beach, and once to Ireland. Ann was a shopper, who loved getting a deal. She was a giving person, who not only was known for her thoughtful gifts, but for the multiple gifts she gave for every occasion. Ann was a master Trivial Pursuits competitor, who you might love to have on your team, or fear playing against. She was best known for her love and devotion to her parents, especially her mother whom she was a caregiver and constant companion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either, Susan G. Koman Kentucky, at 207 N Upper St D, Lexington, KY 40507, or her beloved Newman Center at 320 Rose Ln, Lexington, KY 40508. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5-7PM, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Mass will be at 12:10PM, Monday, April 9, 2018 at The Newman Center in Lexington, followed by a burial at Calvary Cemetery at 1:30PM.
