Frankfort – Anna Lee Goins, 92, widow of Edgar J. Goins, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018. A native of Frankfort, she was born on October 22, 1925 to Orlie J. and Susan Barker Whitton. She retired after 40 years of service with the Cabinet for Human Resources. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved traveling with her daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Bryan) Phillips, Frankfort, Betty Ann Baron, Aventura, FL, Cindy (Tom) Daly, Atlanta, GA; her daughter in law, Lettie Goins, Lexington; her sisters, Oma Brawner, Frankfort, and Gladys Wingate, Frankfort; and her grandchildren, Joey Phillips, Anna Phillips, Adare Daly, and Clare Daly.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Perry Goins, her son in law, Harry Baron, and her brother John Whitton.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Bill Hartung officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until the time of service on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
