Ardetta Yvonne Harrington

Ardetta Y. Harrington, 68, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, she was born to the late Robert W. and Virginia Bryant Strode on August 19, 1951. Ms. Harrington retired from the Department of Justice and also worked at the University of Kentucky. She was a member of Trinty Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Debra Strode (Dwan) Mack and Preston (Lenetta) Strode, both of Lexington; her sister, Lawana (Vincent) Strode, Lexington; her brother, Robert A. (Shelby) Strode, Frankfort; her grandchildren, Espericha Caise, Berrac Strode, Preston Strode, Jr., Ashley Lorden, Asia Strode and Christian Mack; her great grandchildren, Leila Brooks, Samiyah Sperley, Elahnye Caise, Eyden Caise, Khorei Perry, Berran Strode, Broox Strode and Brax Strode; her nieces, Thomasena Brown, April Stevenson and Anna Raglin; and her cousins, Candice Ferguson, Cynthia Fields, Calvin Fields and Myron Blair. Private Services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
