Barbara Joan Soult

Online Obituaries for Lexington, KY Barbara Joan Soult, 88, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017. A native of Falmouth, England, she and her late husband, Peter Soult, immigrated to the United States at a young age with only enough money to get back home on, in hopes of making a better life for their son. Settling in Lakewood, CA, Peter started working for General Electric while Barbara dedicated her time to home and family. Married for 60 plus years, the Soults were inseparable. They very much enjoyed traveling, preferring road trips to flying; Laughlin, NV and Palm Springs, CA were two of their favorite destinations. A devout Christian, she enjoyed dressing in low heals, sweaters and pearls daily, knitting, and a cup of tea. After retirement, Barbara and her husband moved to the desert where they would continue to enjoy the solitude of each others company and Barbaras cooking. Barbara is survived by her son, Nigel (Ann) Soult, Lexington; brother, David Laity, England; grandchildren, Neil Soult, CA, Niah Soult, Lexington, and Nicole (Bradley) Crockett, TN; and great grandchildren, Hatteras, Ethan, and Hyla Brook. In addition to her beloved husband, Peter, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Laity. Funeral Information No services are planned.
