Winchester, Kentucky Betty Lou Hammer, 80, died Thursday, December 5, 2013. She was born October 15, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Columbus and Pearl Lane. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Hammer; son, David Hammer of Winchester, Kentucky; 3 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; brothers, William Lane and Rod Lane. She is preceded in death by parents and her sister, Donna Day. Funeral Information A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12-1pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with a memorial service to follow.
