Bill Gentry, 77, husband of Bonnie L. Gentry, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He was born in Ade, IN to the late Leroy Gentry and Marjorie Huntington Kelley on July 16, 1940. Mr. Gentry was a sales representative for Manheim Auto Group and a member of Mt. Ayr United Methodist Church in Mt. Ayr, Indiana. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM #125 where he served as Past Master. Mr. Gentry was an active member at Moss Hill Country Club and spent many years running the clock for sporting events at North Newton High School in Morocco, IN. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, William Kevin (Brenda) Gentry, VA, Diana (Dan) Hoffman, IN, and Renee (Paul) See, WV; grandchildren, Justin Studer, Ashley Gentry Cross, Chelsea Gentry Spyker, Brad Hoffman, Jessica Hoffman, Ian Studer, Faith Hoffman, Jaydon See, Brody See and Drew See; great grandchildren, Shelby Spyker, Hailey Cross and Talis Spyker; sisters, Carol Bertram, IN, Paula (Steve) Landers, and Pam Higgins, both of MA; his brothers, Edward “Buck” (Kathleen) Gentry, VT, and Glen (Marcy) Kelley, IN; and step brother, Skipper (Lori) Wilson, MA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Studer and his step sister, Velda Donaldson. Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM (CST) Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Jackson Funeral Chapel 250 N. McKinley Ave. Rensselaer, IN 47978 with Rev. Dennis Morros officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8pm (CST) at Jackson Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation www.cff.org
