Online Obituaries for Midway, KY MIDWAY- Billie Columbia, 90, husband of the late Billie Lee Columbia, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017. A native of Woodford County, he was born on May 1, 1927 to the late Robert and Elizabeth Thomas Columbia. Mr. Columbia retired after 30 years as a Mutuel Clerk with Keeneland and Churchill Downs Race Track and was a Veteran in the United States Army, having served in World War II. He is survived by his daughter, Janie (Sue Rogers) Columbia; granddaughters, Dusty (Michael) Columbia Embury, Heather (Will) Columbia Kinney, and Sarah (Joe) Fontanez; daughter in law, Rebecca Columbia; great grandchildren, Rinnah Kinney, Alden Kinney, Lily Cate Embury, Laurel Embury, Amy Madeline McClure and Merrick McClure; sisters in law, Deana (Spencer) Craig and Helen Jean Schy; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife of 68 years, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Columbia; his son, Darrell Columbia and his brothers, Henry Lee Columbia and Sherman Columbia. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2017 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, officiated by Rabbi Smolkin. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Michael Embury, Will Kinney, Alden Kinney, Joe Fontanez, Don Bowling and Jason Hom. Honorary casketbearers will be Merrick McClure, Matt Kragel, Rodney Brooks, Donald Lee Columbia, Todd Craig, Mattilynn Craig and Bob Godby. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the time of service.
