Bobby G. Dotson

Bobby G. Dotson, 82, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018. Husband of the late Sissy Ahern Dotson, Bobby was born March 23, 1936 to the late Walter “Buck” and Elizabeth Kinley Dotson in Midway, Kentucky. Retired from the United States Postal Service, Bobby was an auctioneer, real estate broker, and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Mark) Dotson Hall, Lexington; son, Heath (Leigh) Dotson, Georgetown; daughter in law, Petra Dotson, Versailles; sister, Edith Hogg, Versailles; brothers Kenneth Dotson, Frankfort, Phillip Dotson, Versailles, and Gerald Dotson, Versailles; and grandchildren, Gavin and Sarah Hall, Taylor and Luke Dotson, and Reece and Olivia Dotson. In addition to his wife Sissy, and parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a son, Blake Whitney Dotson; sister, Ruth Dotson Richardson; and granddaughter, Jordan Hall. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00a, Friday at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Danny Schwendeman and Chris Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery, Versailles. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Sewell, Rick Wade, Robert Richardson, Kurt Dotson, Justice Webber, and Steve Hogg. Bobby's grandchildren and cousin, Kent Dotson, will serve as honorary pallbearers. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 4:00p to 8:00p, Thursday at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be sent to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
