Online Obituaries for Frankfort, KY Christopher Davis Kimbrough, 44, went to be with his Lord on March 13, 2017, following an accident. He lived in Evansville, IN, but was formerly from Louisville and Frankfort, KY. He attended Fern Creek High School in Louisville, and graduated from Franklin County High School. He attended Eastern Kentucky University. He was owner of Regal Homes and Roofing, and Envy Irrigation in Evansville, IN where he won numerous awards in the Parade of Homes for Southern Indiana that drew thousands of people to town for a week long show. He won Best Homes for three straight years, as well as best exterior for two years and best kitchen design. He had a passion for detail and flair for the unique. He specialized in high-quality homes with an exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. He was a premier builder. He later opened the roofing business and was voted Best Roofing Contractor for two straight years. Recently he started another company, Envy Irrigation. Although he played all sports, he was best known as a superior baseball player. At 16, he was drafted into the National Amateur Baseball Federations statewide Lexington Dixie team that won the World Series in 1989. He was known as the home run hitter and fastest runner. At Franklin County High School, he received the Varsity Hitting Award and Most Valuable Player Award. He was known as a funny, caring, compassionate person with a big heart. He was courageous and resilient in difficult times. He often helped people and friends and would give them the shirt off his back. Not many knew of his acts of generosity. He was like a brother to so many and loved by all who knew him. He was a youth coach of numerous sports teams and sponsor of teams in Evansville. Chris is survived by his parents, Jim and Debbie Davis Kimbrough of Frankfort; his wife Natalie and his adopted grandchildren Presley age 4 and Brandon age 8 of Evansville, IN; his brother Scott Tyler Conway (Jane Polsgrove) and nieces Madison Jane Conway and Ann-Morgan Tyler Conway of Elizabethtown; his maternal aunt Doris Davis Goldstein (Glenn) of Frankfort; a great uncle Smith Oliver (Kathy) of Danville; an uncle Randall Kimbrough (Pat) of Alabama; and half-sister Autumn Slucher of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward Tyler Davis and Murlene Oliver Davis of Frankfort, and his grandfather Thomas Kimbrough, Alabama. Pall bearers will be David Weis, Matt Woolums, Jeremy Vanfleet, Derek DeMaree, Jeff Hadley, and Derek Van Hooser. Funeral Information Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, March 18, 2017 with services following at 1:00 pm at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension at 311 Washington Street, Frankfort. Father Bill Brown will be officiating. Services are under the care of Clark Legacy Center.
