Obituary
Clara M. Nash, 93, of Lizella, GA, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at the Pine Pointe Hospice facility in Macon, GA. Born in Anderson County, Kentucky, on October 5, 1918, the daughter of John William Cummins and Katie McGaughey Cummins, Mrs. Nash lived most of her life in Frankfort KY, where for more than 40 years she was the owner and operator of Nash's Day Care in Bellepoint. A lover of children, she taught children's Sunday school classes at the Bellepoint Baptist Church for 35 years and served as president of the Bellepoint Elementary School PTA.
Mrs. Nash was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Marcus E. Nash; by her son, Dr. Scott Nash, and his wife Dawn Peyton Nash; by two grandsons, Marcus Coleman Nash and Christopher Scott Nash, and their wives, Alena and Nicole; by three great grandsons, Ezra, Ethan, and Aidan; by numerous nieces and nephews; and by hundreds of children for whom she cared in her day care center.
Funeral Information
Visitation will be 5 -7pm Friday, July 13, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Funeral service will be at 10am Saturday, July 14, 2012, with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dr. Scott Nash, son of the deceased, will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Ray Cummins, nephew of the deceased.
A reception for family and friends will be held following the service at the Capitol Plaza Hotel.
