Coy B. Compton

Compton, 75, husband of Geraldine Bailey "Gerri" Compton, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late Elzie and Evelyn Wells Compton Wilson. Coy was a retired Security Guard for Security Warehouse and he was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He loved fishing, hunting and watching cooking shows on television. Surviving besides his wife are children; Coy B. {Liz} Compton, Jr., Independence, Kentucky, Lori {Kevin} Kerfoot, Nicholasville, Diana {Chris} Crockett, Lexington, Chris {Michelle} Williams, Lexington, and Jennifer {Chuck} Hunt, Garrard County, his brother; Gary Compton, Danville, and thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Roy Compton. Funeral Information Graveside service will be 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
