Crystal Lynn Stevens Cooley
May 5, 1966 — May 20, 2026
A much-loved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, Crystal Stevens Cooley, 60, of Lexington, Kentucky passed away peacefully on May 20th, 2026 with her family present. She was born May, 5th 1966 in Miami, Florida and resided in Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Tates Creek High School and received a Bachelor’s in Communications from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She had a varied and diverse career. She starred in the nationally syndicated television show “Arts Express” produced by KET/PBS, served as the Marketing Director of Images Model Agency, Director of the United States Achievement Academy, and Author of children’s book series LittleKidU. Crystal was a long-time member of Southland Christian Church. She spent much of her free time volunteering at organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House and Best Friends adult daycare center.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dan Franklin Cooley of Lexington; son George Hutton Cooley and wife Merrick Heid Cooley; mother Ruth Onesi; sister Lisa McIndoo, nephew Logan (Sydney) McIndoo, and niece Ashley (Micah) Walker. She was preceded in death by her father George Allen Stevens.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 23rd from 9:30-10:30 am with the funeral service to follow at 10:30 am at Clark Legacy Center, Nicholasville, Ky. Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donate to the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at the Sanders Brown Center on Aging.
