David Allen Mitchell, 63, husband of Jenny Mitchell, passed away, Tuesday, October 1, 2019. He was born May 3, 1956 to William J and Patsy Mitchell in Versailles, KY. David was a member of the FFA and graduated from WCHS in 1974. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Including his wife and parents he is survived by a sister, Brenda (Don) Lampton, Lexington; a brother, Donald (Kelly) Mitchell, Midway; sister-in-law’s, Angela Ruble, Lexington and Mona (Jimmy) Doolin, Garrad Co; mother-in-law, Shirley Ruble, Lexington; and nephews, Lucas, Adam and Logan Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Bill (Mary Sue) Mitchell.
Funeral service is 1:00pm, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Mt Vernon Baptist Church, Versailles; officiating is Rev David Barron. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery. Casketbearers are Lucas Mitchell, Adam Mitchell, Logan Mitchell, John Hymer III, John Hymer II, Jason Wachter and Bryan Sharp; honorary casketbearers are Joe Long, Jimmy Gaunce and Curtis Adams. Visitation will be 10:00am-1:00pm, Saturday prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations can be made to Mt Vernon Baptist Church.
