Diane Read
Feb 21, 1931 — Jan 2, 2014
Lexington, Kentucky
Diane Macphail Read, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the early morning hours on January 2, 2014. Diane will join her husband, Retired United States Naval Commander, Garlin R. Read and be met by her basset hounds in her final resting place. Diane will be remembered for her quick wit and humor, gentle advice and listening ear, honesty and courage, humility and generosity. You could say she embodies the "Aloha Spirit". Because of these qualities she had many friends everywhere she graced with her smile. To her, friends were family and she was lovingly called "Mama Bear" and gave herself the nickname "Spare Gram".
