Donnie L. Wilson

Donnie Lee Wilson, 70, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. Husband to Linda Mefford Wilson, he was born February 11, 1948 to the late R.J. and Susie Wiley Wilson in Frankfort, KY. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Donnie was a member of Bridgeport Christian Church and enjoyed boating, shooting, and just being outdoors whenever possible. In addition to his loving wife, Linda, Donnie is survived by his daughter, Rebecca S. Wilson (Jason Dickison) and his beloved pets, Riley and Katy. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Saufley. A Funeral Service will be held 11a, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, officiated by Rev. Keith McAliley and Allen Boone, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Steve Anglin, Jason Dickison, Stephen Woolums, Billy Aldridge, Dale Bryan, and Allen Boone will serve as pallbearers. A Visitation will be held from 5p-8p, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 with a VFW Memorial Service at 7p, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be sent to VFW Post 4075, 104 E. 2nd Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
