Doris’s life was marked by deep devotion to family and enduring strength of character, leaving an indelible impression on all who knew her. She worked as a clerk for Kroger in Beaumont Circle in Lexington, KY for over 9 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles "Tom" Newman, and her devoted children: son Dustin Wolfe and his wife Lina, Walton, KY; daughter Tomila Mills and her husband Cory, Lexington, KY; daughter Lillian Newman, Lexington, KY; and son Thomas Newman, Richmond, KY. Doris’s legacy of love and kindness endures in her grandchildren—Kiera Wolfe, Arik Wolfe, Conner Mills, and Cooper Mills—who each brought her immense joy and pride.Doris is also survived by her beloved siblings — Carl "Buster" Wilburn, Sam Wilburn, Phil Wilburn, Robin Murray, and Carla Wilburn Bates — as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members whose lives were richly blessed by her warmth and steadfast love.She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Myrtle and Charles Wilburn; her first husband, Brian Wolfe; and her two brothers, Charlie Wilburn and Dave Wilburn.

Doris’s presence was a source of guidance and serenity for her loved ones. She approached life’s challenges with resolute faith and an open heart, enriching the lives of those around her with compassion and integrity.Family and friends are invited to honor Doris’s memory at the visitation, which will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The funeral service will follow at the same location beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Lexington Cemetery.

Doris Faye Newman will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind. She was a steadfast presence in the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured always.
