VERSAILLES- Douglas Ray Wilson, 61, husband of Ann Wilson, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. A native of Versailles, he was born on June 3, 1957 to Bobby and Gail Wilson.
Ray was a member of Southside Christian Church and gave his talents and his time to anyone who asked it of him. His love for all things classic, particularly cars, was only surpassed by his love for his family; particularly his 8 grandchildren who held a most special place in his heart.
In addition to his parents and wife of 38 years, he is survived by his children, Matthew (Lindsay) Wilson, Allison (James Mark) Willoughby and Kristy (Derek) Couch, all of Versailles; his grandchildren, Ella, Olivia, Anna, Kinsley, Mia, Reese, Benjamin and Samuel; his sisters, Nora Hartley, Annie Wilson and June Barbour, all of Versailles; and his brother, David Wilson, Versailles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Gene Wilson, Jr.
Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Southside Christian Church officiated by Rev. Bobby Cariell. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Ricky Bourne, Moe Chamness, Danny Gaines, Clifford Bradley, Sam Wheat, Josh Wilson, David Barbour and Eddie Hartley. Visitation will be Monday, November 12, 2018 from 4-7PM at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to Go Ministries www.gomin.org/medical.
