Online Obituaries for Frankfort KY Effie P. Bush, 79, of Frankfort, KY, passed away on April 17, 2017, at the Frankfort hospital, following a short illness. Effie was preceded in death by Ben Bush, her husband of over 40 years. Both Effie and Ben were retired with 30 years service with Bell South Telephone Company. Effie Bush was born on February 26, 1938 in Fork Ridge, TN to the late Levi and Ethel Davis Parker. In addition to her husband Ben and her parents, Effie was preceded in death by her sister Clarice P. Blakeman, of London KY, and by a brother, Michael Parker, of Middlesboro, KY. Effie is survived by her sister, Pat House (Don), of Frankfort, KY; her brother, William Parker, Rockford, IL; her stepdaughter, Barbara Bush Davies (Stephen), of Louisville KY; her step grandchildren, Lawrence Graves of Frankfort, KY, and Jennifer Davies of Louisville, KY; her nieces, Karen Herron (Tony) of Jeffersonville IN, and Susan Cessna (Steve) of London, KY; her nephews, Billie and Larry Parker, both of Rockford, IL; her great nieces, Amy Madon of Lexington, KY, Ashley M. Thompson MD (Lee) of Savannah, GA, and Danielle Barton of Denver, Colorado; and a great nephew, Justin Barton of Corbin, KY. Funeral Information A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. Rev. Todd Lester will officiate.
