Frank Edward Richmond, Jr., died on November 10, 2017 at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Norma (Creager) Richmond; children Julie (Anthony) Haley, Frank (Linda) Richmond III, Karen Bandy, Edward (Wendy) Richmond, Sherri (Richard) Wind, and George Richmond; brother William (Joann) Richmond; sisters Linda (Alvin) Knipfer and Donna (Charles) Metcalf; 13 grandchildren Heather, Nichole, Rachel, Edward Jr, Roy, Robert, Rebecca, Christopher, Timothy, Elizabeth, Rae, Katherine, Thomas and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Richmond Sr., stepmother Delores Richmond, his mother Alma (Wilson) Davis, stepfather Oscar Davis and his sister Ruth (Davis) Newman.
Frank was born in Covington Ky.spent much of his life in Ludlow and moved to Lexington in 2007. He was a loving husband, father, and family man who had a special place in his heart for his youngest son George, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and at the age of 53, a graduate of ITT Technical College with an Associates degree in electronics. Frank was also an entrepreneur who owned many businesses during his lifetime including the locally iconic Ludlow Pizza Carry Out restaurant in the 1970s. He was an avid singer/songwriter and guitarist, an artist, and he loved science fiction.
