Frederick Stephen Mullins

Frederick Stephen Mullins was born on March 26, 1979, to John Stephen Mullins and Diana Lynn Mullins. He passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 47.

Known to friends as Freddy, he possessed a rare sensitivity to the feelings and humanity of others. He made people feel seen and remembered. Whether meeting someone for the first time or reconnecting years later, Fred had a remarkable ability to remember names, hometowns, pets, birthdays, and the personal details that mattered. He maintained friendships across decades and brought humor into nearly every relationship, often using comedy as a way to connect, comfort, and bring people together.

Freddy’s lifelong passions reflected both his energy and his heart. He loved soccer and played goalkeeper for his high school team. From those formative years through adulthood, he remained a devoted supporter of Manchester United. He also had a deep love for dogs, particularly Weimaraners and pit bulls, whom he regarded as family rather than pets. Travel plans were always made with their care in mind. Leaving them behind in a kennel was never an option. Someone stayed with them at home, or the dogs came along on vacation, too.

Music was another enduring part of Fred’s life. As a young child, he performed his first piano concert solo, “Eating Goober Peas.” Although piano practice sometimes required encouragement during childhood and adolescence, his love of music returned strongly in his teenage years. He expanded beyond piano to guitar, bass, and drums, becoming in many ways his own band. Through his record label, Bella Jade, named for his beloved Weimaraners, he created several records and gave expression to the creativity, emotion, and individuality that defined him.

Fred’s understanding of people also became one of his greatest professional gifts. His career in bodybuilding, fitness, sports nutrition, and nutraceuticals grew from humble beginnings. He began working weekends as a janitor at World Gym in Lexington, Kentucky, cleaning equipment in exchange for a gym membership. That opportunity developed into a genuine love of fitness and a disciplined commitment to hard work, patience, and personal transformation.

Over time, Fred became highly skilled at recognizing what people wanted to achieve and identifying the gaps that stood in their way. He could connect with people naturally, understand their needs, and help them find products and approaches that improved their outcomes. His dedication to the nutraceutical field led to the development of a significant enhancement to creatine supplementation. That work ultimately helped refine Con Cret and Hydronox, which quickly became one of the leading products in the category for Vireo Systems.

Freddy will be remembered for his humor, creativity, perseverance, loyalty, and unusually deep capacity for empathy. He could walk into a room and make it feel more personal simply by remembering the people in it. 

He loved fiercely, worked passionately, and left a lasting impression on everyone whose life he touched.He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
