Ganta V. Rao

Gv Rao passed away peacefully on February 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. Gv is survived by his wife (Ranga), son, daughter in law, and grandchildren. Gv is what makes America great, arrived in the US with borrowed money in his pocket, went to Michigan State to complete his PhD and then started his work life. Gv enjoyed a successful professional career that culminated as Senior Vice President of global Research and Development at YuM brands (formally known as Tricon). However his greatest pleasure was spending time with Ranga and telling her about what was going on in this big wide world, watching his granddaughter grow up from a tomboy to a young lady, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys (Âhow about them CowboysÂ), to scanning the sidelines of Louisville Cardinals basketball games looking for his grandson (GoCards). Gv, husband, daddy, grandpa, friend - you live on in our hearts. See you soon. Love you
