Gene Whisman

Frankfort - Gene Whisman, 88, husband to Gloria Sorrell Whisman, passed away Friday June 15, 2018 at Bradford Square in Frankfort. He was born on July 4, 1929 and raised in Frankfort by his parents, the late Courtney and Bertha Whisman. Gene was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 7. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Chris Whisman of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by 1 sister and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018, 11:30 AM at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 AM until 11:30.
