Online Obituaries for Danville and Lexington, KY Geraldine 'Gerri' Compton, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 04, 2017. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Gerri will be missed and remembered by many who knew her as a loving and generous friend, co-worker, and community member. Gerri is survived by her children Christopher (Michelle) Williams and Diana (Chris) Crockett; six beautiful grandchildren, Benjamin, Lauren, Harper, Griffith, Adelaide, and Rya; four sisters, Patsy Martino, Sue (Jimmy) Maxey, Gail Harris, Sandra Campos; and three brothers, Bobby (Linda) Bailey, Jimmy(Pat)Bailey, and Jerry (Jolene) Bailey. Gerri is preceded in death by her husband, Coy B Compton as well as her parents, Luther and Catherine Bailey. Funeral Information Services will be held 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Macedonia Christian Church, 4551 Winchester Road, Lexington, KY. Visitation will begin at 5:30 followed by a memorial service at 7.
