Gerry Ann Meadows Baldwin

Obituary Gerry Ann Meadows Baldwin, 83, of Versailles, went to be with her loving Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She was a devoted and loving wife, Mother and Grandmother who made family gatherings a very special occasion. She was the daughter of the late Carlie James Meadows and Evelyn Snelson Meadows. She attended Walnut High School located in Walnut, North Carolina. She began her career as a Beautician with Wilkes Beauty Salon in Marshall, NC; she later joined Baldwin's Beauty and Barber Shop in Asheville, NC. In 1949 she joined the Petrie Corporation and retired in 1990. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Jeter McIrvin Baldwin, Jr. as well as her sister, Tola Marie Meadows Stephenson and brother, Theron James Meadows. She is survived by her two daughters, Gerry Delane Baldwin of Jacksonville, Florida, and Debra Lee (Rick) Miller of Versailles, Kentucky. Four grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Ashley (Nathan) Opie, Carlye Miller and Ethan Miller. Funeral Information A celebration of her life will be held in Marshall, North Carolina at a future date.
