Bruce Crant, husband of Patsy-Newsome-Crant, passed away on August 31, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. Bruce was born on September 27, 1941, in Ft. Myers, Florida, to Harold and Mildred Crant, (deceased).
Bruce graduated from Ft. Myers High School in 1959, and married Linda Lambert (deceased) in 1962.
Bruce was the founder of Commonwealth Block in 1977, selling the company in 1999. He also was the owner of Nashville Block in Nashville, Tennessee. Currently Bruce is the co-owner of Tate Builders Supply in Erlanger, Kentucky.
Bruce was a University of Kentucky fellow and a big UK sports fan. He enjoyed the game of golf and was a member and past president of Lexington Country Club.
Other than his wife, Patsy, Bruce is survived by his daughter; Pamela (Bill) Owens of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a son; Walter Todd Crant, of Malta, grandchildren; Delany Owens and Graham Owens of Cincinnati, Ohio, sisters; Dianne Deboest of Ft. Myers, Florida, and, Joan (Don) Hanson of Scottsdale, Arizona, and a brother; John (Cynthia) Crant of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Bruce was a member of Centenary Methodist Church. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, in the chapel of Centenary Methodist Church, at 10:00 A.M., with a service to follow at 11:00 A.M.
