Heather Sharon Harris

Heather Sharon Harris, 53, of Lexington, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 while under hospice care at Baptist Health Lexington. A Lexington native, she was born to Herman L. Harris and Sharon Louise Cochran Harris on Christmas Day 1972. Heather was a very spiritual person who loved God.

Her interests included writing, and she was known for sending many cards and letters. Similarly, she was an excellent gift-giver. She loved her cat Alley, and she was an animal lover. She graduated from Lafayette High School and attended BCTC. Throughout her career, she held managerial positions in the food industry.

In addition to her parents, Heather is survived by her two children, Kayla Noel (Rico) Carter and Dillon Wilson (Olivia Conrad); six siblings: Brent Harris, Joseph “Joe” Harris, Blake Harris (Lisa Means), Alexious Osumenya (Victoria Wilson), Ariel (Michael) Houston, and Amelia Harris; two grandchildren, Harvey Carter and Bentley Wilson; and four nieces and nephews: Morgan Harris, Jordan Houston (Jaylyn Callahan), Amari Osumenya, and Noah Houston.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15th at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington. The church is located at 3564 Clays Mill Road, Lexington, KY 40503.
