Jul 17, 1943 — Apr 3, 2026
Huie T. Yang, 82, of Lexington, KY, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026.
Born in 1943 in Jiangxi Province, China, Huie to the late Daniel and Louise Yang. He lived a life marked by service, learning, faith, and deep devotion to family. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, rising to the distinguished rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In retirement, Huie found great joy in his work at Keeneland, where he was able to do what he did best: bring light, laughter, and kindness to everyone he encountered. Huie truly never met a stranger. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit made friends wherever he went.
Above all, Huie was a devoted husband, loving parent, proud grandfather, and faithful friend. He was passionate about his family, his friendships, and his church, Pax Christi Catholic, and these were the foundations of a life beautifully lived.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Yang; his children, Len and Ru-an Williams; Daniel and Jeni Yang; his cherished granddaughter, Maggie Yang. His three brothers: Robert Yahng, Chris Yahng, and Michael Yahng , and their families.
