Imogene "Jeanie" Newberry, 82, widow of Luther Newberry, Jr., died Friday, April 15, 2016 at Hospice Care Center. She was born in Combs, Kentucky, daughter of the late Burchell and Pocahantas Woods Wooton. She was a retired Cafeteria Cashier for Central Baptist Hospital for many years. She was a Methodist, loved her family, cooking, shopping, sewing and working in her flower garden. She is survived by her daughter, Reda Ann {Joe} Harrison, Nicholasville, her two sons, Earl Luther Newberry, Nicholasville, Robert {Aileen} Newberry, Georgetown, her two sisters, Oredeous Bischoff, Claremont, California, Donna { Henry} Lubinski, Lawrenceburg, her six grandchildren, William Donald Tompkins, Christina Nicole Tompkins, Ashley Nicole {Ryan} Durham, Bobby Newberry, Amy Jo {Darrick} Erwin, and Emily {Joshua} Smith, her six great grandchildren, Anna Faith Tompkins, Cameron Easton Durham, Gabriel Erwin, Lily Erwin, Finley Smith and Owen Smith.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center Brannon Crossing conducted by Rev. Wally Rendel with burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center Brannon Crossing. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to. www.clarklegacycenter.com
