Ira J. Wash, Jr. LEXINGTON- Ira J. Wash, Jr., 89, husband of Evelyn F. Wash, died Thursday, July 25, 2013. Mr. Wash was born in Versailles on November, 10, 1923 to the late Ira J. and Julia Wilhoit Wash. He was an Electrical and Civil Engineer for the Bluegrass Army Depot. Mr. Wash was also a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II, and a member of Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Julye Wash-Chesser, Louisville and Diane Gore, Lexington; his grandchildren, Heather Gore, Douglas Gore, Jennifer Glass and Daniel Chesser; and his great grandchildren, Hannah Chesser and Kilea Gore. Funeral Information Visitation will be Wedneday, July 31, 2013 from 11am until time of service at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with the funeral service following at 1pm. Military Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Sam Hawkins, Jerry Chesser, Daniel Chesser, Tony Wilhoit, Garry Williams, and AJ Williams.
