Ivan Childers Jr., 84, husband of Ann Childers, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. He was born in Watts Fork, KY on September 30, 1934 to the late Ivan Sr. and Gail Pratt Childers. He worked as a Transportation Engineer Specialist in the Division of Program Management for over 60 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Todd (Elnora) Childers, Lexington, Robert Washburn, Louisville; his extended family, special nephew, William Wright, and daughter, Adriana Cash, Crestwood, grandchildren, James, Josiah, and Joanna Cash; his brothers, Charles Childers, Talmadge Childers; his sister, Paula Rollins; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Childers, Orbin (Sweet) Childers, and Phillip Childers.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd followed by a reception in the Legacy Center. Pastor Stan Schreiner will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until the time of service on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Life House for Animals.
