Jack E. Smithers

Jack E. Smithers, age 69, husband of Tammy Smithers, passed away on April 17, 2018 at UK Medical Center, Lexington. Jack was born in Lexington, KY to the late Hubert Smithers and Agnes Lilly Keefe. He served his country in the Army and Navy as a radar tech.He was employed as a mechanic at Car Quest Auto Parts. Aside from his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Richard Smithers and his step father, Kelle Keefe. Jack is survived by his wife Tammy; daughter Christy Smithers; son Jack C. Smithers; grandchild Allen Croker Smithers; sisters Rita (James) Lawson, Marion (J.B.) McCartt, Rose Fallis, Cecelia Ashcraft and brother Ralph Smithers. Visitation is Friday, April 20, 2018 from 12-3 PM at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, 601 E. Brannon Rd. Nicholasville, KY. Service begins at 3 PM followed by a gathering in the Legacy Center. The family has requested contributions be made in Jack’s memory to the Humane Society of your choice or to the American Cancer Society.
