Jacqueline C. Hanna

Lexington, KY HANNA Jacqueline C., wife of William J. Hanna, died February 21, 2014, the day after her 85th birthday and just before the anticipated birth of her first great-grandchild. She was the daughter of Jesse T. and Mary Rose Gentry Cotton of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She was graduated from Harrodsburg High School and attended the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Jackie moved to Lexington in 1949, and was a 60-year member of First Presbyterian Church, which she served as business manager during the 1970s. In addition to Bill, with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on December 20, 2013, she is survived by five children, William J. "Jim" Hanna, Elizabeth Gentry Hanna, Mary Breckenridge Hanna, Thomas Cotton (Catherine) Hanna, and Robert Price (Tim Wahl) Hanna, and eight grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Webb, Lauren Webb, Allison Hanna, William "Will" Hanna, Julia Rose Hanna (Scott) Hofmeister, Thomas Hanna, Robert Hanna, and Mary Elizabeth Hanna. Other survivors include her sister, Rose Marie (Bob) Noe of Stanford, Kentucky, a nephew, and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her friend Betty Mainous. There will be no visitation or funeral services. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral Information Pending
