James A. Jim Rooks, 71, died May 24, 2017. He is survived by his wife Lynn (Schneider) Rooks; daughter Brittany Jalyn (Nick) Whitcomb; sister Faith (Norman Herms) Frisch Herms; grandchildren Jayden Whitcomb, Isabella Whitcomb and Brayden Whitcomb; sister-in-law Judith Brooking; brother-in-laws Robert (Pat) Schneider and Edward Butch (Kerry) Schneider and several nieces and nephews including Robin Schneider, Kara Bryn Schneider, Jonathan Frisch, Jenna Frisch and Sara Brooking. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary (Philhower) Nevius.
Jim was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army, a Master Electrician and owner of C.I.R. Electrical. He was always the life of the party, especially when he was on the boat on Lake Cumberland. He happiest times were spent with his family, or atop of his John Deere. Jim was an avid NASCAR fan, but his greatest love was his grandchildren.
Funeral Information
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 6-9PM, Friday, May 26, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing with a Celebration of Life Service at 6PM. His burial will be private at a later date.
