Janis Elaine Aubrey

Lexington, KY Janis Elaine Aubrey, 69, died February 20, 2017. She is survived by her mother Edna (Logdon) Reeves; daughters Catherine (Donnie) Bowers and Cynthia (Reece) Taylor; sister Joanne (Rolland) Newman; brothers Felix (Doris) Reeves Jr., Willian Reeves and David (Wanda) Reeves; grandchildren Brandon (Kaelee) Bowers, Jordan (Katrina ) Bowers and Jalyn Bowers and great grandchildren Berkley Bowers and Kholson Bowers. She is preceded in death by her father Felix Reeves. Janis was a long-time member of Gardenside Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian who loved listening to Contemporary Christian music. She worked at UK Sports for 20 years where she learned to love her UK Wildcats. Quiet times were spent cooking and inviting family and friends to her house for a hot meal, and an evening of watching Netflix. Some of her most precious times were spent watching her granddaughter dance and her grandsons play ball. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 11AM-1PM, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, followed by a Graveside service at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens at 1:15PM.
