Jason Paul Jones

Jason Paul Jones, 51, husband of Jessica Jones passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Lexington, KY. He was born on June 14, 1974, to Nancy Jones and the late Robert Jones. Jason attended Southland Christian Church and worked as a Disability Specialist for the University of Kentucky Human Development Institute. He advocated for people with disabilities for 30 years through various positions and countless acts of service, including co-founding the Kentucky Congress on Spinal Cord Injury (KCSCI) in 2012 and acting as a leader for The Kentucky Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for 16 years.

In addition to his wife Jessica and mother Nancy he is survived by two sons, Micah and Bryce. Jason said his greatest pride and joy in life was being married to Jessica and being a father to his boys. Jason is also survived by his brother, Preston (Jacinda) Jones and their children, Raegan (Colin) and Mason; his late sister Linda’s children, Brianna (Donavan) and Brooke along with many other nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his late father Robert and his sister Linda.

Jason was a dedicated sports enthusiast. You could always find him cheering on the Vols, Steelers, and Braves. He also loved bringing people together whether through poker tournaments, parties, fantasy sports leagues, or scavenger hunts.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center, 601 East Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
