Gilbert and Viola Moore on January 19, 1933. She was a member and president of the Capital City hairdressers. She was owner and hairdresser at the Stylette Beauty Salon on Collins Ln. in Frankfort. She held many offices for the State Hairdressers Association and served as the state president for 2 years. She was the state board inspector for the State Hairdressers Association from 1970 1986. She was a realtor and worked for Gatewood and Associates. She started and was the director for the after school care at Immanuel Baptist Church from 1987 1996. She also worked at First Care Inc. as the preschool teacher from 1996-2004. She was a member of the Hiram 93 in Frankfort where she served as the Worthy Matron from 1990-1991. She is a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She member of the American Legion Auxiliary #7 of Frankfort. She is a member of the order of the Amaranth Inc. and passed Royal Matron. She is also a member of the Three Links Rebekah Lodge #48 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. She is a member of the Golden Circle Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church on the Singing Bridge. Jean is survived by her son Myron Burton, Frankfort; 3 granddaughters Christie L. McDonald, Frankfort, Allyson N. Lewis, Frankfort, and Tabitha J. Lipps, Frankfort; 5 great grandsons; and 4 great granddaughters. Funeral Information A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel at 1:00pm with Dr. Robert Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers are Adam Lipps; Christian Jennings; Corey Claypool; Christie McDonald; Tabitha Lipps; and C.J. Lipps. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
