Jeanette Rosia Wisnicky

Jeanette Ditzell Wisnicky, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at Cold Spring Transitional Care in Cold Spring, Kentucky.

Jeanette was born in Waterloo, New York, to Jesse and Olive Ditzell. She graduated from Romulus Central School in 1952 and from Edward J. Meyer Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Buffalo, New York, in 1955.

Jeanette lived in Lake Park, Florida, and later in Lexington, Kentucky, where she remained close to family. An avid bridge player, she treasured the friendships, laughter, and camaraderie she found around the card table. Whether caring for patients, spending time with loved ones, or enjoying a good game of bridge, Jeanette found joy in helping others.

Above all, Jeanette cherished her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love, quiet strength, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Olive Ditzell; her beloved son, Daniel Richard Wisnicky; and her siblings, Ruthe, Rolland, Gerald, and Baby Sister.

She is survived by her children, Yvonne Marie Wisnicky and Walter Lange Wisnicky (Ellen); her cherished grandsons, Matthew Wisnicky and Andrew Wisnicky; and her beloved cat, Ginger.

Jeanette lived a life of compassion, service, and quiet faith. Her family takes comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior.
