Jenetta Lee May, 81, the widow of Clifford Lyle May, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019. The daughter of the late Francis Marion Ferguson and Nola Mae Jayne Bradley, Jenetta was born March 20, 1938 in Magoffin County, Kentucky.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Chris) Juett, Lexington; son, Jack May, Versailles; a brother, Jimmie Smith, West Liberty; grandchildren, Kayla Leann May, Stacy Lynn Murphy, Jason Lee Murphy, and Kimberly Lane Fannin; and great grandchildren, Makenzie, Olivia, Austin, Lucas, Sadie, and Dylan.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, Clifford, Jenetta was preceded in death by her son, Ernest “Ernie” Lee May; her grandson, Brad Lyle Murphy; her parents; her sisters, Marie Franklin, Thelma Smith, and Diana Smith; and her brother, Bobby Bradley.
A Visitation will be held from 12:00p until 1:30p on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort with a 1:30p Graveside Service to follow at the adjacent Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort. A 2:30p Memorial Service will be held directly after the graveside at North Lexington Church of Christ, 2280 Hume Rd, Lexington, officiated by Steve Johnson, with a Reception to follow, also at the church building. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Murphy, Justin Fannin, Keith Juett, Joey Bradley, Austin May, and Jason McReynolds. Serving as an Honorary Pallbearer will be Lucas Fannin.
In honor of Jenetta, who loved all things purple, the family will be wearing purple on Saturday. If you would like to join them in honoring her in this way, even a hint of purple will be perfect.
