Jessie Lee J.L. Soyars, 84, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. He was born in Logan County on May 28, 1933. He was employed with the State of Kentucky as a cartographer, and a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Soyars was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and was the last active charter member of the Frankfort Civitan Club.
He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Soyars, Russellville; his aunt, Frances Soyars, Bowling Green; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Soyars, Bowling Green, Earleen Ginter, Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Soyars; his parents, Charles Irwin and Georgia Soyars; and his brothers, Charles and Ralph Soyers.
Funeral Information
Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm on Monday, October 30, 2017. Serving as casketbearers will be Ed Ginter, Mike Ginter, Michael Hartley, Alex Richardson, Randy Ginter, Ernie Sayre, Larry Williams, and Scott Harrod. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be the members of the Frankfort Civitan Club.
