Joyce Betsworth Hall

Joyce Betsworth Hall, 92, wife of Dr. Howard H. Hall, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. She was born in Hartley, Iowa on December 22, 1926 to the late Glen and Lelia Birlingmair. Joyce taught swimming and water safety classes including managing the Red Cross swimming program in both Elizabethtown and Frankfort. She loved to spend time at the lake, sew, and paint. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children Richard (Rebecca) Betsworth, Versailles, Constance Barnes, Lexington, Stanley (Vanessa) Betsworth, Lawrenceburg, Edward (Debbie) Betsworth, Hayesville, NC; 9 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Dr. George R. Betsworth. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
