Joyce Ann Stivers

Frankfort- Joyce Ann Stivers, 82, widow of James Stivers, Sr., passed away Friday, March 29, 2019. She was born in Lawrenceburg, KY on August 1, 1936 to the late Lillard and Hazel Hedden. She worked at Fruit of the Loom, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters Jana Peyton, Frankfort, Judy Jackson, Tennessee; her sons James Louis Stivers, Jr., Tennessee, Tommy Wayne Stivers, Lexington; her sisters Edith Smith, Barbara Graham, Jean Hedden, Polly Moore, Jenny Harley, Lucy Downey; her brothers Danny Hedden, William (Jane) Hedden; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren, as well as, her special friends Joe and Vicky Brookshire, and David and Theresa Parker. In addition to her to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Emily Stivers, her son Michael Edward Stivers, and her sister Betty Carter. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Rev. Leland Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Ned Stivers, Daryl Engler, Ricky Wentworth, Anthony Wentworth, Gabe Ford, and Brian Scott. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the start of service at the funeral home.
